tate . CHARITY... Tis the Season
So in speaking to some, I have learned that you (some of you) are missing my thoughts and commentary. Who would have ever thought? So by demand, it's coming back... for this month anyways. Since the holiday season is here I think charity is oh so important and here is my wisdom regarding CHARITY...
Christmas is a time for charity and I am very proud to work for a company that emphasizes it. When most companies have tightened their budgets for giving or done away with it all together ALL-CLEAN USA has really stepped up and utilized their giving program ALL-CLEAN 4 KIDS.
My thoughts are that charity should be a way a life, not just for Christmas time or around the holidays. If you don't have the funds... VOLUNTEER, it's good for the soul! Volunteering is often more important and needed than money. Charity is simple... You can display an act of charity by purchasing a cup of coffee for the lady or gentlemen behind you in the Starbucks drive-thru. It's a nice gift and random act of kindness that often falls short in this world we live in today. It's as simple as that!
And remember, when giving this season you don't have to give big if you don't have it, a $10 donation will suffice or your time is even better!
And because you want to know, a few of my favorite charities.
HAYDEN'S FAVS FOR 2009
1) Paws and Claws (Malvern, AR). Simple individuals helping homeless animals.
2) Our House (Little Rock, AR). Serves the working homeless in the metro area.
3) Toys for Tots. Serves needy children with toys during the holidays.
4) Gentle Souls Animal Rescue (Conway, AR). Finds homes for homeless animals. Specializes in finding homes for the pit bull breed, a breed that is often misunderstood in the South.
5) Big Brothers, Big Sisters. The largest, youth mentoring program in the country.
6) Rachel's Kids, Inc. (Memphis, TN). Faith based children's program for local children living in Binghampton neighborhood, near Midtown. Teaching children to rise about present circumstances.
Cheers, SEE YOU IN 2010! |
